The Power
of the Meditation
I knew that each week I expose
different kinds of alternative medicine. In this 9th week I want to
talk about meditation. The word means “to engage in mental exercise (as
concentration on one's breathing or repetition of a mantra) for the purpose of
reaching a heightened level of spiritual awareness”. I think that is very
important to meditate for the mental and physical health. I research an article
that explains how the meditation is a therapy for the integral health.

the doctor Rebecca Erwin Wells is working in an awesome investigation. She wants
to clear up that a meditation as yoga can change the brain, how is working and
the affects about the execution. Wells has looked the effectiveness of a
meditation program called mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR). I found
this program very interesting and fascinate because there can find out the
signs of dementia and migraine headaches. The doctor and her team divided in
two studies and the first part, the participants are adults between 55 and 90
with a little bit cognitive impairment.
The team’s second study found that the people
with migraines who practiced MBSR for 8 weeks had less debilitating their
condition than those in the control group who received the traditional medical
care. I always knew that meditation can do it everything because one soul in
peace is better that anything and the other parts of the body can be healed.
Wells exposes: “This type of meditation is a safe and relatively simple
intervention, and if it can delay cognitive decline and help relieve migraines,
it could contribute to improved quality of life for many of these individuals”.
I am very hopeful that the scientific do it the investigation for the social
health and the people can have a better lifestyle. Also, the people with
meditation can control about the migraines and less severe attacks.
